Responsible for assisting with all operational tasks within the store as delegated and assigned by the Store Manager, with a main focus on front-end and sales floor operations. Also assist with hiring, training, and development of store associates as delegated by the Store Manager.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assist with all store functions and daily activities as directed by the Store Manager.
2. Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
3. Help protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
4. Follow all policies and safety guidelines.
5. Maintain a professional and friendly environment for customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
6. Keep all store areas, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery.
7. When the Store Manager is not present, assume direct supervisory responsibility for hourly Associates.
8. Process all corporate directives related to store activities, including Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, and Key Survey information.
9. Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies.
10. Ensure proper staffing coverage and sales effectiveness on a daily basis.
11. Manage cashiering activities to ensure compliance with cash handling practices and guidelines.
12. Oversee promotional displays and seasonal areas to maximize sales.
13. Coordinate signage used in the store.
14. Process damaged merchandise daily.
15. Assist in creating weekly schedules.
16. Help manage store supplies and control expenses.
17. Assist with merchandising and maintaining checkout area for impulse sales.
18. Ensure coolers and display racks are refilled daily.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Prefer prior retail and management experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
