Principal Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assist with all store functions and day-to-day store activities as directed by the Store Manager.
2. Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
3. Assist in protecting and securing all company assets, including store cash.
4. Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
5. Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
6. Maintain all areas of the store to company standards, including stockroom and sales floor, including recovery.
7. When the Store Manager is not on the premises, have direct supervisory responsibility for all hourly Associates.
8. Process all SSC Corporate directives, including Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, Key Survey information, and other store activities as delegated by the Store Manager.
9. Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD Policies and Procedures.
10. Ensure proper staffing coverage daily and sales effectiveness of the sales floor.
11. Manage cashiering activities to ensure cash handling practices & guidelines are followed.
12. Coordinate store signage, manage seasonal areas, and merchandise displays for promotional effectiveness.
13. Process damaged merchandise daily.
14. Assist with creating weekly schedules and managing store supplies and expenses.
15. Maintain checkout area to maximize impulse sales and ensure coolers and displays are refilled daily.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Prefer prior retail and management experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
