Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities as directed by the Store Manager.
• Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Help protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Follow all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment for customers, staff, and supervisors.
• Keep all areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery.
• When the Store Manager is not present, take supervisory responsibility for hourly associates.
• Process directives like Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, and Key Survey information, as delegated.
• Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies.
• Ensure proper staffing coverage daily.
• Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective daily.
• Manage cashiering activities to adhere to cash handling practices and guidelines.
• Optimize promotional displays and store signage.
• Manage seasonal areas for sales effectiveness.
• Handle merchandise damages daily.
• Assist with weekly staff scheduling.
• Help manage store supplies and control expenses.
• Maintain checkout area and merchandise displays to maximize impulse sales.
• Refill coolers and program racks/displays daily, such as balloons, sunglasses, batteries, etc.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift, bend, and transport up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
