Job summary

Altium Packaging in Anaheim, CA is seeking a Bilingual Operations Assistant to support purchasing and inventory for our HDPE extrusion plastics facility. The role requires hands-on experience with purchasing, cycle counts, receiving, and coordinating with vendors.

Fluency in English and Spanish is required, with strong Excel and JDE skills. The successful candidate will maintain safety stock, process purchase orders, assist production packaging teams, and back up materials handling tasks.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish required with written and spoken fluency.
• Hands-on purchasing and inventory experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with cycle counts, receiving and PO processing.
• Proficient in JDE and Excel for data entry and tracking.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in purchasing and inventory for HDPE extrusion plastics production.
• Enter production reports, cycle counts, and reconcile materials daily.
• Provide POs to vendors and schedule deliveries; receive items on arrival.
• Interact with vendors and maintain safe stock levels.
• Back up parts, material handling and production packaging tasks as needed.
• Operate within JDE and Excel spreadsheets; support safety training activities.

Work Shift 8hr-1st Shift (United States of America)

• The Bilingual (Spanish) Operations Assistant will assist in all aspects of purchasing and inventory for a HDPE extruded plastics products factory. This includes entering production reports, purchasing for stock and non-items, performing and entering cycle counts, shipping and receiving functions. The candidate must have a hands‑on background with purchasing and inventory in a manufacturing environment.
• Collect, enter, and reconciliation of materials produced and used daily.
• Provide purchase orders to vendors that supply stock and non‑stock items to the plant and schedule items to be delivered.
• Receive in purchase orders and ensure that items arrive.
• Interact and develop good working relationships with vendors.
• Monitor Safety stocks of materials used.
• Manage and update the list of vendors of items used.
• Provide back up to Parts Crib Attendant functions.
• Order and Receive parts
• Provide back up to Material Handler functions.
• Pumping Resin from Rail Car to the Silo’s
• Ensuring Rail Cars are ready to delivered back to the manufacturer
• Provide back up to Production Packaging Associates (PPA) functions
• Grind Bottles
• Pack Bottles
• Palletizer
• Robot
• Bagger
• Operate within JDE inventory system, database, and excel spreadsheet.
• Manage Safety Department with training, SOS requirements, AIC System and Safety Committee meeting.
• Maintain Training Matrix for the Plant
• Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.
• Requires a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Basic mathematical skills.
• One to three years’ experience is also required.
• Bilingual - English and Spanish (Write, Read and Speak)

Targeted Pay Rate $25.00
