Driven by a long-standing commitment to excellence, Bray offers the stability of a trusted, privately owned organization that continues to grow through innovation, collaboration, and integrity. Guided by our vision to be the most respected and successful valve, actuator, and controls company in the world, Bray places people—our employees, customers, and partners—at the heart of everything we do. We pursue progress through continuous improvement, a family-like culture, and an entrepreneurial spirit that shapes the future of flow control solutions.

Position Overview

We are seeking an influential and highly organized leader who is passionate about continuous daily improvement across assembly lines, production processes, and order fulfillment. This individual will drive meaningful change by effectively diagnosing assembly line challenges, collaborating with subject matter experts, and implementing sustainable countermeasures. The ideal candidate operates confidently at the tactical, order‑execution level while also addressing recurring issues with a long‑term, strategic mindset. They take full ownership of assembly performance and are committed to delivering measurable impact across the value stream over the course of their career.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the assembly work stoppage process, ensuring each case progresses rapidly from identification to resolution.
  • Lead immediate response efforts for new work stoppages by bringing the appropriate cross‑functional team to the shop floor to:
    • diagnose root cause;
    • define immediate countermeasures;
    • collect data for long‑term corrective actions.
  • Drive resolution across departments once root cause and corrective actions are identified, including:
    • initiating inspection orders and sampling inventory locations;
    • coordinating rework of non‑conforming components;
    • partnering with engineering to develop redline drawings or design updates.
  • Routinely review open cases (multiple times daily) to ensure progress and hold stakeholders accountable.
  • Identify and implement high‑impact long‑term countermeasures by:
    • tracking and analyzing recurring issues using Pareto analysis;
    • leading cross‑functional initiatives to address root causes (e.g., design improvements, process refinements, system/tool enhancements).
Scope of Role

Initial focus will be on BUS (Valve and Actuator) assembly lines, with planned expansion to Knife Gate and Ball Valve assembly lines. The role may also extend to supplier engagement, including on‑site support for recurring issues with key vendors.

Performance Standards
  • Primary: reduction in total work stoppages and work stoppages per line shipped (monthly).
  • Secondary:
    • shipment targets;
    • on‑time delivery (OTD %);
    • lead time (LT) for standard orders.
Qualifications & Core Competencies
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Distribution, or a related field preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience in ERP systems (preferably LN/Infor), manufacturing environments, and production process flows required.
  • Strong understanding of bills of materials, material specifications, and valve testing criteria preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Power BI required.
  • Leadership experience preferred, with demonstrated ability to influence cross‑functional teams (Quality, Engineering, Sales, Production).
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High energy, self‑starter with a hands‑on approach and ability to operate with limited administrative support.
  • Strong attention to detail.
Please Note

Sponsorship is not available for this role. Applicants who currently hold, or will require in the future, visa sponsorship (e.g., E, F‑1/OPT/CPT, H‑1, H‑2, L‑1, B, J, or TN) are ineligible.
