Job Title: Operations and Teams Pastor

Job Summary:

The Operations and Teams Pastor provides strategic oversight and leadership to the day-to-day operations of the church, ensuring that all systems, processes, and teams function efficiently to support the church’s vision and ministry goals. This role focuses on administration, facilities, finances, and volunteer coordination. Additionally, the Operations Pastor will assist the Lead Pastor in developing and overseeing a Teams (task-based) ministry structure to better equip the congregation for future seasons of ministry.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Administrative Leadership: Oversee daily operational functions, including office administration, database systems, and scheduling. Streamline church systems and procedures for maximum efficiency and alignment with the church's mission. Develop and implement operational policies and procedures.
  2. Financial Oversight: Manage the church budget, oversee expenditures, and ensure financial integrity in collaboration with the finance team and/or treasurer. Coordinate with external accounting services or bookkeepers. Provide regular financial reports to leadership.
  3. Facilities Management: Supervise maintenance, scheduling, and use of church buildings and grounds. Manage vendors, service providers, and facility improvement projects.
  4. Technology & Systems: Oversee IT infrastructure, church management software, and AV equipment. Evaluate and implement technology solutions supporting operations and growth. Develop and oversee a new website, church app, and social media presence.
  5. Volunteer Team Development: Support and coordinate volunteer teams related to administration and operations. Develop systems for recruiting, training, and managing volunteers in operational roles.
  6. Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the Lead Pastor and leadership team to align operational goals with the church’s vision. Participate in leadership meetings and contribute to long-term planning.
  7. Preaching and Teaching: Participate in the preaching and teaching team, preaching approximately 6-8 times per year.
Qualifications:
  • Developed Christian faith with a heart for the church and its mission.
  • Proven experience in operations, administration, or church leadership (3–5+ years preferred).
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Familiarity with budgeting, HR, and project management.
  • Proficiency in office software and church management tools (e.g., Planning Center, Church Community Builder).
  • Theological alignment with a conservative, non-denominational church.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Ministry, or related field (Master’s or Seminary degree a plus).
  • Experience in a multi-staff church environment.
  • Leadership ability with staff and volunteers.
  • Experience researching, planning, and delivering exegetical sermon series.
  • Knowledge of Restoration Movement Churches.
Working Conditions:

Office-based with availability on Sundays and occasional evenings/weekends. Expectation of at least 30 office hours weekly, with flexibility as needed.

Salary:

$45,000 - $57,000 DOE. Benefits include two weeks vacation, housing allowance, cell phone stipend, and conference reimbursement.
