Job Summary
The Operations Analyst will provide critical support for Base Wide Grounds Maintenance Services at Fort Bragg. This role involves creating and maintaining spatial data, managing database systems, performing administrative tasks, and ensuring efficient workflow within the organization. The ideal candidate will have experience with ArcGIS, computerized maintenance management software, and possess strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Primary Duties

  • Develop and manage spatial data using ArcGIS software to support grounds maintenance activities, ensuring the accuracy and currency of spatial data for effective planning and execution.
  • Oversee the functionality, data integrity, and user access controls of the Fort Bragg Grounds Computer Operated Maintenance Management Software (CMMS). Ensuring accurate data entry, efficient retrieval, and smooth workflow by implementing solutions within the CMMS.
  • Manage and track work orders from initiation to completion, ensuring timely and accurate processing, and communicate with maintenance teams to prioritize and schedule tasks effectively.
  • Handle administrative duties such as answering phones, managing filing systems, processing mail, scheduling appointments, providing basic customer service, and maintaining office records with proper documentation.
  • Prepare and distribute regular reports on maintenance activities, work order status, and other relevant metrics, while analyzing data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and support decision-making processes.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Provide training and support to staff on the use of ArcGIS and CMMS software, assisting team members with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  • Conduct regular audits of data and processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with organizational standards, implementing quality control measures to maintain high standards of data integrity.
  • Assist in the planning and coordination of special projects related to grounds maintenance, monitoring project timelines and deliverables to ensure projects stay on track.
  • Liaise with vendors and contractors to ensure timely delivery of services and supplies, managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts as needed.
  • Track and report on budget expenditures related to grounds maintenance activities, assisting in budget planning and forecasting to ensure financial efficiency.
  • Ensure all activities comply with safety regulations and standards, promoting a safe working environment by conducting safety training and inspections.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Certification(s)

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Geography, Information Systems, Business Administration) or 4 years of equivalent experience – Preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of GIS experience – Preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite preferred.
  • Required to be able to drive company vehicles.
  • Valid driver’s license and/or access to reliable transportation to perform work-related travel required. Eligible drivers must have a good motor vehicle record (MVR).

  • Proficiency in ArcGIS and computerized maintenance management software.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with data entry and database management.

Work Environment

The Operations Analyst will primarily work in an office environment with occasional field visits, requiring the ability to handle light to moderate physical tasks and adapt to both indoor and outdoor settings.

While in the ServiceSource office setting, the work environment is usually quiet. While working outside conducting field visits the noise level and weather/temperature conditions may vary.
