Job summary

Gibraltar Industries is seeking an Operations Analyst in the United States to develop and maintain production schedules that meet customer demand while optimizing capacity, labor, inventory, and material availability. The role requires independent judgment to balance priorities and resolve production constraints in support of business goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration or equivalent work experience.
  • 6 to 8 years of experience in the field.
  • Experience with Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) activities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain short-term and long-term production plans based on orders, forecasts, inventory targets, and capacity.
  • Analyze capacity, labor availability, material supply and constraints to set priorities.
  • Independently adjust schedules to address changing requirements and disruptions.
  • Evaluate scenarios to optimize resource use for delivery and cost objectives.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing, Operations, Customer Service and Shipping to resolve scheduling conflicts.
  • Monitor KPIs including schedule attainment, on-time delivery, inventory, and capacity utilization.
  • Execute changes to production strategies, inventory policies and resource allocation.
  • Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to improve flow.
  • Participate in S&OP and advise on capacity and demand fulfillment.
  • Exercise discretion in determining priorities and allocating resources.

The Operations Analyst is responsible for independently developing and maintaining production schedules to meet customer demand while optimizing manufacturing capacity, labor utilization, inventory levels, and material availability. The position exercises independent judgment in balancing competing operational priorities and resolving production constraints to support business objectives.

  • Develop and maintain short-term and long-term production plans based on customer orders, forecasts, inventory targets, and manufacturing capacity.
  • Analyze machine capacity, labor availability, material supply, and production constraints to determine production priorities and sequencing.
  • Independently adjust production schedules to address changing customer requirements, equipment downtime, labor shortages, material shortages, and other operational disruptions.
  • Evaluate alternative production scenarios and determine the most effective use of manufacturing resources to achieve delivery and cost objectives.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing, Operations, Customer Service and Shipping personnel to resolve scheduling conflicts and ensure continuity of production.
  • Monitor key performance indicators including schedule attainment, on-time delivery, inventory levels, and capacity utilization.
  • Execute changes to production strategies, inventory policies, and resource allocation based on operational analysis and business needs.

Education And/or Experience

6 to 8 years of experience in field. Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration or equivalent work experience.
