Who You’ll be Working With

You’ll be on the Saturn Five team, and will directly report to and support our seven-member operations team in the multitude of joys and challenges that come with running a large group of small businesses. We work hard, laugh a lot, and trust each other to get after it for our companies and investors. We actively manage to.We think we’re a team most people would like to work with.

What We’re About

Saturn Five is a long-term-hold investment firm focused on buying and operating some of the best small businesses in America. We are, technically, a lower-middle-market private equity company, but we're a bit different. We buy and hold our investments for the long term, and we invest in companies that we're proud of, but most of the private equity market isn't interested in. If you love the impact of well-run businesses and want to run one yourself someday, we may have a seat waiting for you. We don’t define success simply by the value we generate. We think we can’t really measure what we’ve accomplished unless we also count the ways we’ve made life better for the people we serve, the people who work for us, and the world. And we hope that keeping our eye on those kinds of returns makes us a truly value-added alternative to private equity. You can learn more about Saturn Five in our 2026 Annual Letter.

Requirements

The position calls for a highly detail-oriented, information-capturing, project-managing, document-drafting beast who is equally at ease consolidating financials as they are documenting a hiring process or capturing and compiling examples of documents we engage with regularly. We like “scrappy” around here, so if you know what it is to serve, and actually like it, you’ll like this gig.

  • Facility with gathering and tracking company-supplied metrics and management rhythms.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate and summarize effectively in-person, over the phone, and via email.
