Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Energy Analyst, ESP to join the enrollments, settlements and payments team as a subject matter expert in the markets they support. You will proactively identify and solve problems with minimal guidance and communicate effectively with executive leadership.

Qualifications

• BS or BA degree in a business-related field such as Marketing, Finance, Management or Economics
• Energy/Demand Response experience
• 5–10 years' work experience in Operations, Finance, or another related field
• Experience working with hundreds of thousands of rows of data
• Excellent computer proficiency (Microsoft Office - Excel, Power BI, Power Query, and/or Python)
• Advanced degree in a business-related field such as MBA, Marketing, or Finance

Responsibilities

• Enroll assets in ISO/Utility markets, settle events, shadow-settle, test events, and report on asset- and portfolio-level compliance
• Manage the calculation and submission of customer payments
• Analyze portfolio trends and provide actionable suggestions during Enrollment, Settlement, and Payment
• Provide leadership on system and process improvement initiatives
• Coordinate with internal teams on audit requests from ISO/Utility
• Lead reporting of the financial impact of market operations with high accuracy for internal and external reporting
• Develop customized reporting for customers and maintain executive level market summaries
• Help guide junior teammates in day-to-day tasks, communications, and other projects

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Energy Analyst, ESP to be a part of the enrollments, settlements and payments team who will be considered a subject matter expert in the market(s) they support. This individual should proactively identify and solve problems with little to no guidance. In addition, this role requires individuals to communicate effectively, at a high level, with all functional groups including executive management. Success in this role requires continual review and improvement of existing processes and procedures, particularly as the company implements new and upgraded support systems.

Compensation:

$85k to $100k per year annual salary.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Day-To-Day:

• Enroll assets in ISO/Utility markets, settle and/or shadow-settle events and test events, and report on both asset- and portfolio-level compliance
• Manage the calculation and submission of customer payments
• Analyze portfolio trends and create actionable suggestions during each stage of Enrollment, Settlement, and Payment
• Provide leadership on system and process improvement initiatives
• Work closely with internal teams on all audit requests received from the ISO/Utility
• Lead reporting out of the relevant financial impact of market operations with the highest level of accuracy for both internal and external reporting
• Develop customized reporting for customers and assist in maintaining executive level market summaries as needed
• Help guide more junior teammates in day-to-day tasks, communications, and other projects
