Job summary

KIPP NYC Public Schools is seeking Operations Aides to support one or more classrooms with essential operational tasks in NYC. Roles include part-time (29 hours or fewer) or full-time hourly work, with duties ranging from materials prep to assisting with student transitions and daily routines.

We value candidates with strong interpersonal skills, prior school-based experience, and a passion for teamwork within a mission-driven educational community. Travel to multiple NYC schools may be required.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

KIPP NYC Operations Aides are either part-time (29 or fewer hours) or full-time hourly support staff. Operations Aides support one or more classrooms with operational needs. They support general school operations teams as needed throughout the day. Responsibilities differ based on school and program needs.

Duties includes but are not limited to:

Support in the preparation of materials and other clerical support for the classroom teacher

Supporting or leading in lunch, recess, and arrival duties; supporting with student transitions throughout the day

Committing to constant professional and personal growth through reflection, feedback, and collaboration

Modeling KIPP NYC’s character strengths in all interactions and communications with students, families, and staff.

Qualifications

Strong interpersonal skills that contribute to a collegial working environment and a healthy measure of the character traits we value: zest, grit, hope, social intelligence, gratitude and a sense of humor.

School-based and student support experience strongly preferred

Undergraduate, graduate student, or non-student looking for hourly work

Compensation and Benefits:

KIPP NYC offers a competitive hourly rate ranging from $18/hour - $25/hour.Salary ranges at KIPP NYC are standardized based on role level and role function. Individual salaries are determined through a lens of equity, accounting for years of experience relevant to the role and scope of responsibilities, and are benchmarked against others within the same salary band.
