Job summary

Apogee Engineering seeks an Operational Training Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support mission-critical software modernization and deployment for the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center and USSTRATCOM/J56. The role emphasizes systems engineering, Agile/DevOps, and CI/CD to enhance survivability, interoperability, and reliability of strategic weapon systems.

Qualifications

Must be a US citizen.
Must have and be able to maintain a TS/SCI level clearance.
Bachelor's Degree required.
12+ years of relevant experience, including 5 years with DoD.

Responsibilities

Develop SMPES - Recap training materials and courseware for SMPES training programs, including operational training aids and video-based training.
Attend meetings with SMPES - Recap developers to provide operational expertise during capability development and post-production phases; participate in Discrepancy Reviews and crosstalk meetings.
Provide operational system training to SMPES - Recap user organizations, including demonstrations, ROC, ad hoc training events, exercises, and OT&E.
Assist in developing test plans for SMPES-Recap test and training events, including exercises, Test, and OT&E.
Provide NC2 operational expertise in NPES legacy during SMPES-Recap testing and training efforts and development.
Offer SME input for SMPES-Recap training development across associated mission areas.
Create and maintain SMPES-Recap messages to support training and test scenario development.
