Job summary

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain manufacturing OT data systems and servers (OSIsoft PI, Ignition, DeltaV, iFix, FactoryTalk AssetCentre).
• Coordinate with IT to maintain secured OT infrastructure and cyber security compliance.
• Provide HMI architecture support for manufacturing operations.
• Collaborate on cross-functional capital projects delivering OT data systems.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with internal quality and process authorities.
• Maintain solutions for monitoring Critical Process Parameters and data reporting.
• Provide on-call support for plant OT systems.

OVERVIEW

The Operational Technology Engineer position supports and maintains manufacturing operation data systems including hardware and software for the plant's OT systems. The role ensures that OT systems meet the Abbott IT System and Cybersecurity requirements while proactively maintaining maximum system uptime.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Support and maintain manufacturing operation data systems and servers including hardware and software for the Columbus Plant Operational Technology (OT) systems. For example: OSIsoft PI, Ignition, ZPI data servers, Delta V, iFix, FactoryTalk AssetCentre
• Coordinate with IT support team as needed to maintain secured OT infrastructure for manufacturing operation and actively participate in Cyber Security compliance initiatives – disaster recovery, asset security, patching, malware prevention, etc
• Provide Manufacturing Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) architecture support
• Work with Division teams to deploy manufacturing operations data systems as part of cross-functional capital project delivery team
• Coordinate with internal quality and process authority organizations to ensure regulatory compliance
• Maintain solutions for Critical Process Parameters Monitoring and Process Data Reporting
• Resolve underlying problems: Identify customer/ client needs and propose solutions to address them; make alterations in products or services to better meet (recognized or unrecognized) customer need, e.g. partners with an outside vendor to provide a better deliverable
• Provide on call support ofplant OT system

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
• 5+ years of significant IT, engineering, and/or operational experience
• 5+ years in a related field and/or industry
• Must be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
• Must be able to work fully onsite in Columbus, OH

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with Windows Server Operating Systems Management and Troubleshooting
• Experience with manufacturing OT / IT systems, network architecture, and cybersecurity
• Experience with OSISoft products

The base pay for this position is $61,300.00 – $122,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
