Garden State Smiles- Matawan in Matawan, NJ is seeking a Team Lead of Dental Operations to manage daily team activities, support the Office Manager, and drive an exceptional patient experience. This full-time role emphasizes leadership, reliability, and adherence to HIPAA/OSHA standards in a busy dental practice.

The position requires 1–2 years in a dental setting, strong communication, and familiarity with dental software such as Denticon.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a dental practice setting.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proven reliability and ability to lead by example.
• Proficiency in dental software systems (Denticon).

Responsibilities

• Serve as a go-to resource for day-to-day team questions and coordination.
• Assist the Office Manager in monitoring team performance and workflow efficiency.
• Help onboard and mentor new team members.
• Ensure that daily schedules, tasks, and responsibilities are executed effectively.
• Act as liaison between team and management to communicate needs, updates, and concerns.
• Support compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and Squire Dental policies.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and offer suggestions to leadership.
• Help maintain a positive, respectful, and collaborative team culture.
• Continue performing core responsibilities of their main role (e.g., dental assistant, front desk, hygienist).

Schedule:
Monday-Friday
Saturdays: 8am-1pm (alternating)

What You’ll Do

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and assisting for long procedures
• Manual dexterity and visual acuity to handle surgical tools and materials
• Exposure to bloodborne pathogens, surgical chemicals, and PPE
• Must be able to lift and move up to 30 lbs and respond quickly in clinical settings
