Zusammenfassung

Inferno Systems is seeking an Operational System Engineer in Chantilly, VA to automate tasks, collect data, and develop tools in collaboration with CNOs. The role requires deep Linux administration, scripting, and virtualization experience across Linux and Windows.

You will work on data collection, ingestion, processing, and task tracking, while discussing conops and improving operational processes. A TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph clearance is preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Linux OS administration across multiple distros (Centos Stream, Rocky, Ubuntu, Fedora, Debian).
• Familiarity with web proxies, SSL certs, and DNS records.
• Experience with troubleshooting network and systems.
• Windows with PuTTY/WSL usage.
• 4+ years Python and/or Bash programming.
• Experience in Linux and Windows environments.
• Experience in virtualization (VMware ESXi).
• Understanding of data flows and ETL processing.
• Strong interpersonal skills for customer interfacing and tool development.
• Experience in Linux logging and network traffic analysis (SPLUNK).
• Experience monitoring network activity and traffic redirection.
• Knowledge of network infrastructure design and maintenance.
• Organized, detail-oriented, team player, eager to learn.

Aufgaben

• Automate tasks and data collection alongside CNOs.
• Assist with data ingestion, processing, and task tracking.
• Develop tools to meet operational requirements and speed data availability.
• Contribute to conops discussions and methodology development.
• Support data flows from collection to end-user delivery in a Windows/Linux hybrid environment.
