Job summary

Probity in Chantilly, VA, is seeking an AQ Operational Systems Engineer to lead the design, development, and O&M of a scalable cross-platform test automation system. This role emphasizes application-layer engineering, IaC (Ansible, Terraform), and DevOps practices across Linux and Windows targets.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in Python and C++, experience with VMWare/KVM, and a strong background in enterprise-scale software development. Active TS/SCI with polygraph is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline with 5+ years of experience.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• 5+ years Python and strong C++ for robust apps.
• 5+ years leading design/architecture of enterprise-scale applications.
• 5+ years building across Linux and Windows environments.
• Experience automating multiple hypervisor platforms (VMware, KVM).
• DevOps experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with OAuth/JWT/OpenID Connect, SQL Server and MongoDB.

Responsibilities

• Design, engineer, and implement IT systems for the client’s mission network.
• Apply OSI layer 1–4 tradecraft in operations.
• Identify opportunities to improve cyber mission efficiency.
• Communicate complex concepts to leadership clearly.
• Lead projects from requirements to documentation with minimal supervision.
• Brief partners on methodology, tool development, and deconfliction.
