Job summary

Lowe's Receiving team is seeking a Receiving Support Specialist to verify shortages/overages and manage inbound goods in the distribution center. You will hand or powered-load goods, stock, and prepare items for shipment to Lowe's stores.

Identify receiving issues, escalate to supervision, and support a safe, efficient operation across multiple shifts including mornings, afternoons, nights, and weekends. A high school diploma and warehouse experience are preferred.

What You Will Do

The Receiving Support Specialist (RSS) is a support position for Receiving responsible for verifying any shortages and overages within the department. The RSS is tasked with receiving, processing, stocking, selecting, moving, and loading by hand or powered industrial equipment manufactured goods received by the distribution center in preparation for shipment to Lowe's retail stores. This position is also responsible for identifying any receiving issues, such as damages or barcode problems, and notifying supervisory personnel for resolution.

What We're Looking For

Required to work a set schedule that may be changed/modified by management based on the needs of the facility.

Requires availability to work morning, afternoon, nights, or weekends depending upon assigned shift and overtime based on the needs of the facility.

Must work in a distribution/warehouse environment with the physical and environmental aspects typically associated with such environment.

Minimally must be able to lift 40 pounds; ability to lift up to 70 pounds with or without accommodation.

Minimum Qualifications

• Strong safety orientation and proven record of complying with safety requirements
• Demonstrated track record of consistent and reliable on-the-job contribution
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision or with a team

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Experience in distribution center operations or previous warehouse experience
• Experience operating power equipment (e.g., forklift, reach truck, yard truck)
• Experience performing detail-oriented tasks in a fast-paced working environment
• Experience using spatial reasoning to position product effectively
• Basic math and reading comprehension skills
• Basic computer skills

Schedule Requirements

Available to work a set schedule that may be changed by management based on the facility's needs.

May be asked to work mornings, afternoons, nights, and/or weekends based on the facility's needs.

Working Conditions
