Job summary

EverBank, N.A. is seeking an Operational Risk Officer to support the bank's risk management framework across the institution. You will collaborate with business units and risk owners to identify, assess, monitor, and report operational risks, helping strengthen risk culture and regulatory compliance.

The role conducts risk assessments, governs risk appetite, and contributes to risk reporting to executives and the Board Risk Committee, ensuring robust controls and issue remediation.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in Risk Management for a mid-large sized organization.
• Prior experience in financial services.
• 7+ years of experience in Risk Management.

Responsibilities

• Represents the Second Line of Defense in providing credible challenge to management.
• Participates in risk governance committees and prepares documentation as needed.
• Conducts risk assessments across business lines, identifying and escalating emerging risks and control gaps.
• Oversees key risks and controls within assigned areas of expertise.
• Performs monthly analysis and reporting to identify emerging risks.
• Coordinates and contributes to quarterly operational risk reports for executive management and Board Risk Committee.
• Provides oversight to lines of business with RCSA review, challenge, and validation.
• Supports scenario analysis, risk appetite monitoring, and KRI tracking.
• Liaises with business units to ensure consistent application of operational risk practices.
• Assists during regulatory examinations and internal audits.
