Job summary

The Bachrach Group is seeking an Operational Risk Analyst for a temporary assignment in New York to support the risk management function. You will review events from Front Office and Corporate areas and help strengthen controls.

You will produce risk reporting for meetings, take minutes, coordinate KRIs, and participate in risk projects to enhance governance.

Responsibilities

• Review operational risk events originating in Front Office/Corporate areas and identify root causes and control enhancements.
• Produce and review Operational Risk MI for Front Office meetings and Legal Entity Committees.
• Attend and take minutes for Operational Risk meetings with Front Office/Corporate teams.
• Oversee key risk indicators (KRIs) submissions and closure of actions.
• Coordinate internal Operational Risk meetings and track follow-ups.
• Support Operational Risk led projects as required.

This position is for a Control Group role (which will include Investment Banking or Research Compliance, depending on applicant’s experience):

• Review of Operational Risk Events originating in Front Office/Corporate areas, providing challenge over root cause/control failures + required control enhancements
• Production/review of Operational Risk MI for periodic Front Office/Corporate meetings & Legal Entity Committees
• Attendance/key minute taking for Operational Risk meetings with Front Office/Corporate areas
• Oversight of numerous Operational Risk processes, e.g. Key Risk Indicator submissions & actions closure
• Coordination of internal Operational Risk meetings & tracking of follow‑ups
• Involvement in Operational Risk led projects as required
