Hatch Ltd. in Pittsburgh, PA, is seeking an Operational Readiness Analyst to join the Commissioning Team.

The role centers on aligning commissioning activities with the Operational Readiness plan and coordinating verification of training and competency for Operators. You will support daily coordination, resolve on-site issues with Field Engineers, and help deliver outputs that meet schedule, cost and safety requirements.

The Operational Readiness Analyst is part of the Commissioning Team and the role is focused on the interfaces between commissioning and operations processes to ensure the operational readiness of the new facility has the required inputs from commissioning at the completion of the project. The Operational Readiness coordinator is focused on the following:

• Alignment of Commissioning activities to Operational Readiness plan.
• Early communication to Operations Readiness Interface of support required for Commissioning activities.
• Identification and coordination of verification of competency (training requirements) for Operators.

Key Responsibilities

• As a member of the Commissioning Team, under the direction of the Commissioning Manager, ensure Commissioning is conducted in compliance with the Safety Management Plan and all relevant Commissioning plans and procedures.
• Expedite Management of Change (MOC) process in order to determine and action required modifications in a timely manner and minimize impact to commissioning activities.
• Interface with the Field Engineers to resolve issues at site related to Operations Readiness deliverables.
• Participate in daily coordination meetings regarding Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning and provide support as an active member of the Commissioning Team.
• Understanding operational readiness scope of work for the Project, the responsibilities for assigned tasks, deliverables, schedule of execution, formats, reports etc.
• Understanding the use and update of the operational readiness deliverable tracking tools that will be required to complete assigned tasks.
• Develop, review and engage the clients with each assigned deliverable to meet schedule, cost and quality requirements.
• Assist in the training and development of the owner’s operational/functional teams as assigned in the scope of work.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in the operational readiness tasks.
• Ensure compliance with project safety, quality and relevant operational readiness procedures.
• Other duties as required at the direction of the Commissioning Manager.

Qualifications and Experience

• Strong personal safety behaviors and knowledge.
• Relevant degree or other tertiary qualification.
• Subject matter expertise as appropriate to task combined with demonstrated and relevant functional experience in operations.
• Bring/add specific functional knowledge and client team experience to the project, to develop assigned activities and deliverables.
• Knowledge of applicable operational readiness procedures.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills.
• Ability to switch between big picture and detail.
• Good time management skills.
• Facilitation, small group activity influencing ‘soft’ skills.
• Experience working in a relevant operational/project or client role.
• Ability to fit into a team environment and personal skills to compliment team work development.
• Microsoft office skills.

Additional Personal Attributes

• Previous experience in an operational readiness related role, or project startup experience in a client or project team.
• Knowledge of Hatch project execution procedures and processes.
• Good people skills and the ability to work through challenges to get the project completed safely, and on time.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• A highly motivated; self-managed individual who gets things done right the first time while applying a common sense and realistic approach to work.
