Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking an operational procurement manager in Mississippi to lead an SCM team, ensuring timely sourcing and delivery aligned with production schedules. The role involves coordinating material lead times, updating MRP forecasts, and maintaining optimal inventory to support continuity of operations.

The ideal candidate has 8–10 years in SCM leadership, strong buying principles knowledge, and excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience with 8–10 years leading SCM teams.
• 3–5 years in an engineer or supply chain environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of operational buying principles and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
• Analytical, problem-solving abilities and results-oriented with deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operational procurement team to ensure all components are sourced and delivered in a timely manner, aligned with production schedules and demand.
• Collaborate to update material schedules and ensure MRP reflects forecasts and product demand.
• Partner with cross-functional teams locally and globally to drive efficiency in supply chain operations.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels to guarantee on-time deliveries that meet customer requirements.
• Foster professional supplier relationships to ensure reliability and quality.
• Design and implement processes for material planning and procurement to improve performance and drive continuous improvement.
