Protocase Inc. is seeking an Operational Leadership Team lead for the afternoon shift in Wilmington, NC. This is a hands-on, on-site role focused on building high-performing production teams and delivering quality, efficiency, and safety.

You will be actively involved in day-to-day operations, train employees, remove obstacles, and coach for continuous improvement. Strong leadership and accountability are essential for success.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead daily execution on the production floor with clear shift expectations.

• Enforce SOPs, quality standards, and safe work practices every day.
• Own KPIs: monitor output, quality, efficiency, attendance, and other metrics; drive improvements.

About The Role

This is a hands-on operational leadership role focused on building high-performing production teams while delivering exceptional quality, efficiency, and safety.

As an Operational Leader, you are responsible for ensuring your team delivers—every shift, every day—through clear expectations, consistent follow-up, real-time coaching, and strong leadership on the production floor.

You won't be leading from behind a desk.

You’ll be actively involved in day-to-day operations—training employees, removing obstacles, solving production challenges, and helping your team succeed.

What You’ll Do

Lead Daily Execution

• Set clear expectations for every shift.
• Monitor production performance and workflow.
• Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.

Provide Hands‑On Operational Support

• Stay actively engaged on the production floor.
• Remove obstacles that impact productivity.
• Troubleshoot operational issues in real time.
• Support employees through changing priorities and production demands.

Build and Develop Your Team

• Train, coach, and mentor team members.
• Hold employees accountable while helping them grow.
• Support onboarding for new employees and new equipment.
• Foster an environment built on trust, ownership, and continuous learning.

Enforce Standards

• Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are consistently followed.
• Maintain quality expectations and production standards.
• Reinforce safe work practices every day.

Own Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Monitor output, quality, efficiency, attendance, and other operational metrics.
• Use data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Drive results through coaching and accountability.

Execute PTA (Procedure)

• Training

Drive Continuous Improvement

• Identify operational issues early.

• Build strong relationships across Production, Engineering, Quality, and Leadership.

What You Need (Required Qualifications)

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Post-secondary education in Manufacturing, Business, Leadership, or a related field is considered an asset.

Experience

• Proven experience leading teams within a manufacturing or operations environment.
• Demonstrated success driving accountability, performance, and team development.
• Experience managing daily production activities and operational priorities.

Leadership Skills

• Strong leadership presence with the ability to motivate and develop others.
• Comfortable setting expectations and holding people accountable.
• Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills.
• High sense of ownership, urgency, and personal accountability.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be able to work full-time on-site in Wilmington, North Carolina.
• Must be available to work the 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM shift.
