Job summary

NXP Semiconductors is seeking an Operational Excellence supervisor to lead a multi-disciplined technical staff across the ATMC Fab. You will drive safety, training, and compliance while delivering quality and on-time delivery through equipment PMs and inspections.

The role requires coaching, mentoring, and developing staff to achieve SDQCP metrics and continuous improvement across production areas. You will report to the Operations Excellence Section Manager and coordinate development

Qualifications

  • 5+ years wafer fab manufacturing experience.
  • BS or equivalent in related field preferred but not required.
  • Proven leadership, team-building, and decision making.
  • Understanding of business/management principles.
  • Knowledge of HR management principles and procedures.
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint, Word, Outlook.
  • Strong communication with management and teams.
  • Strong ethics and competitive drive.
  • Previous leadership or supervision experience a plus.
  • Engineering or equipment maintenance experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Drive projects for continuous improvement of SDQCP metrics.
  • Develop and evaluate personnel to ensure quality work is performed.
  • Provide reports to the area Operations Excellence Section Manager.

Job description

Job Summary

Operational Excellence supervisor role reporting to Ian Francis. You will be expected to manage a multi disciplined technical staff across all production areas in ATMC Fab and provide continuous improvement opportunities for development, PM planning and Execution. Supervise their safety in manufacturing environment Responsible for employee safety training and compliance to expectations Direct and coordinate the development activities for team Own execution to all quality and delivery expectations including, but not limited to, product inspections and Equipment PMs Provide technical, strategic, and tactical direction for the Supervisors direct reports Schedule shift coverage for the area MST and Sustainer Own Equipment PM performance metrics on shift Own Sustainer Disposition metrics on shift Develop training plans and staffing requirements for direct reports Drive projects & achieve goals for continuous improvement of SDQCP metrics Develop and evaluate personnel to ensure quality work is performed Teach, coach and mentor through development of the cultural attributes of Total Quality Provide reports to the area Operations Excellence Section Manager

Job Qualifications
  • 5+ years’ experience in a wafer fab manufacturing environment preferred
  • BS or equivalent in a related field is preferred but not required
  • Must have demonstrated effective leadership abilities, cohesive team building and sound decision making
  • Understanding of business and management principles and practices preferred
  • Knowledge of human resource management principles and procedures preferred
  • Must be proficient in Excel and other relevant software applications (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Must have good communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively to management, direct reports and support teams
  • Must display strong ethics and a desire to win mentality
  • Previous leadership/supervision experience is a plus
  • Engineering and/or equipment maintenance experience is a plus
