Job summary

Zimmer Biomet is seeking a proactive Operational Excellence professional to lead CI initiatives at the manufacturing site. You will drive cost-saving programs and the deployment of the Zimmer Biomet Operating System (ZBOS) while partnering with site leadership for measurable improvements.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership and individual contribution, requiring strong statistical and problem-solving capabilities to support manufacturing operations and regulatory-compliant analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) in Mathematics, Statistics, Biostatistics or similar area of study.
• 3–5 years of related experience preferred.
• Strong analytical/statistical problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Deploy Operational Excellence initiatives in the plant.
• Develop, coordinate and execute the Operational Excellence ADP.
• Provide statistical support and data analysis in regulated environment.
• Design statistically valid experiments including power and sample size.

What You Can Expect

Responsible for the Operational Excellence function and execution of all programs and initiatives to help build a culture of continuous improvement across the manufacturing site as aligned to key strategic goals; includes the implementation of Zimmer Biomet Operating System (ZBOS) and delivering finance and performance commitments. Apply principles of Class A, project management, lean manufacturing and six sigma and other CI methodologies to support manufacturing operations.

This role is hands on and directly accountable for business results. This will require the ability to contribute as both a leader and individual contributor across CI projects. This role will report direct line to Site Director/General Manager and dotted line to the Director of Operational Excellence.

How You'll Create Impact

• Responsible for deploying Operational Excellence initiatives in the plant. Examples of these programs and initiatives are Cost Saving Program, Class A, Workflow Lean Transformation, Quality Begins With Me, DMAIC Problem Solving, Lean Six Sigma, Total Productive Maintenance, etc.
• With oversight from the OpEx Director, develops, coordinates and executes the Operational Excellence Annual Deployment Plan (ADP)
• Provide statistical support
• Appropriate data analysis in regulated environment
• Design statistically valid experiments which include power and sample size
• Assists site leadership team in selecting and prioritizing projects that align with plant goals and strategies.
• Responsible for the sustaining and execution of cost saving program, metric tracking and reports within the site.
• Participates on CI High impact projects that result in site savings as defined as part of goals and objectives. Achievement of defined savings requirement will be part of annual performance expectations.
• Performs related duties as required.

Your Background

Travel Expectations
