Job summary

Indiana University Health System is seeking a Project Manager for the Operational Excellence team in Indianapolis, IN. You will manage a complex portfolio of improvement initiatives using DMAIC and Lean Six Sigma principles to drive cost savings, efficiency, and ROI across the organization.

This hybrid, full-time role reports to the Director – Operational Excellence. Ideal candidates bring 3–5 years of PM experience, a business-related degree, and familiarity with matrix environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a business-related field or equivalent years of experience.
• 3–5 years of relevant Project Management experience.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Healthcare industry experience a plus.
• Experience working in a complex, matrix environment.
• Familiarity with DMAIC, Lean Six Sigma (Yellow Belt or Green Belt) methodologies strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end projects within the Operational Excellence portfolio using standard project management processes and tools.
• Apply DMAIC, Yellow Belt, and Green Belt frameworks to drive process improvements.
• Develop detailed project plans based on customer specifications to optimize performance and achieve measurable outcomes.
• Coordinate resource planning to ensure projects are staffed and executed effectively.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders across a complex, matrixed organization.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings, efficiency gains, and return on investment.
• Ensure projects are delivered on scope, on schedule, and within budget.
