KORE1, a nationwide provider of staffing and recruiting solutions, has an immediate opening for an Operational Excellence Leader: 1+ year of Continuous Improvement in aerospace, defense or other high volume manufacturing (composites, plastics, or metal investment castings a +)

Under the general direction of the Director, Continuous Improvement, leads the continuous improvement effort in the Investment Casting business, supporting the aerospace, automotive, and industrial business markets, including facilitating cross-functional teams utilizing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles will improve turnaround times, Velocity, TOC practices and reduce costs. Projects are moderately complex and not limited in scope, depth, problem-solving, and a degree of skill is required.

Prime Responsibilities and Major Factors in Evaluating Performance:

  • Work in collaboration with site leadership to identify and improve those areas most important to the site
  • Assists in the development of new processes and trains team members.
  • Assists in the development of improvement strategies, deploys, and manages the same.
  • Coordinate, lead, and execute improvement projects and initiatives to achieve business needs and objectives.
  • Performing other related tasks in the facility, as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management or Industrial Engineering a plus.An
  • An Associate's degree or actively working towards a Bachelor's degree with relevant experience will be considered instead of.
  • 1+ years of training and experience using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles and practices, ideally in the Aerospace, Automotive, and High Volume Manufacturing Processes. Internship or professional experience is welcome.
  • Experience working with the manufacturing of composites, plastics or metal investment casting would be helpful.
  • Experience in processing and manufacturing engineering, including CI work, is also welcome.
  • Experience in successful deployment of Lean and Six Sigma, including Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen facilitation, Cellular Flow, Single-Minute Exchange of Dies, Process Flow Mapping, Kanban, Hoshin, Visual Controls, etc.
  • A track record of continuous improvement efforts with proven successful, sustained outcomes
  • Ability to engage others in facilitating consensus, obtain buy-in of senior leadership, and drive for successful adoption of change initiatives.
  • Minimum of 1 year's experience utilizing strong analytical skills, including statistical methods, financial analysis, or engineering modeling and analysis.
  • Good interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Significant computer-related skills (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Minitab, etc.)

Compensation depends on experience but is typically $80-95K plus 9% profit-sharing bonus (with a multiplier)
