Job summary

Airbus in Florida seeks an Operational Excellence Manager to lead an experienced team driving continuous improvement across production lines, integrating lean practices with data-driven decisions to enhance quality and on-time delivery.

You will partner with cross-functional teams, define powerful KPIs, and deploy problem-solving methods to prevent recurrences while expanding lean capabilities across the OPS organization.

Qualifications

• SPC and failure characterization with data mining experience.
• Lean Manufacturing and Root Cause Analysis techniques (8D, Fish Bone Diagram, 5 Whys, DOE).
• Formal training or certification in Operational Excellence Systems (Lean, 5S, Six Sigma, APQP) is a plus.
• Knowledge of production systems and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of AS 9001 quality management systems.
• Understanding of test flow and functional inter-relationships.
• Strong organizational, analytical, root-cause thinking and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Define, implement and control continuous improvement, SPC, and tracking methods to meet quality, on-time, and on-cost deliveries.
• Collaborate with Production and Quality teams to continually improve all processes in Operations.
• Propose and drive cross-functional improvement projects; present status to SMT quarterly.
• Apply advanced engineering principles (RCCA, DOE, VSM) to troubleshoot production/quality issues.
• Observe processes and develop innovative solutions; drive execution with stakeholders.
• Define data-driven processes to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to preventRecurrence.
• Prioritize support to the production floor to drive onboarding of new and legacy lines; maintain consistency.
• Train on production processes and lean manufacturing to deliver measurable results.
• Coordinate project plans and statuses; develop contingency plans.
