Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in operational excellence and related fields.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience advising senior leaders and leading cross-functional initiatives.

• Recognized expert in Lean, Six Sigma, structured problem solving, and process design.
• Ability to use operational data, ERP systems, reporting tools and data visualization to guide decisions.

About the role:

As an Operational Excellence Lead you will advise senior leaders and resolve our most critical and complex Operational Excellence challenges. The role applies extensive knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, structured problem solving, process design, and operational performance to develop solutions where information may be limited, precedent may not exist, and significant judgment is required.

You will report to the Sr. Director, OPX Operational Excellence and will be a remote position. Living near a major airport will be critical as there will be up to 75% travel. There is no relocation assistance offered for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as principal advisor to senior and executive leaders on critical Operational Excellence priorities, enterprise performance risks, and complex improvement opportunities.
• Translate business strategy into multi-year Operational Excellence roadmaps, governance, standards, and execution priorities throughout the company.
• Determine goals, methods, and approaches for critical assignments with broad latitude and accountability for enterprise-level outcomes.
• Develop and guide implementation of sustainable solutions using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, A3 Problem Solving, FMEA, root cause analysis, and other advanced methodologies.
• Anticipate implementation risks, resolve barriers, and guide leaders through decisions requiring a longer-term enterprise view.
• Guide the application of established Operational Excellence principles and lead development of new ideas, methods, frameworks, and standards to address the latest needs.
• Evaluate future concepts, technologies, automation, advanced analytics, and process design opportunities that can materially improve operational performance.
• Define leading practices and create reusable approaches that can be scaled across the organization.
• Establish enterprise measures, governance, and benefit-realization methods for complex improvement portfolios and strategic programs.
• Interpret operational and business data to identify systemic trends, strategic risks, and opportunities that affect multiple functions.
• Communicate recommendations, tradeoffs, and outcomes to executive leaders and key decision makers.
• Create formal networks with key decision makers across Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Safety, and other departments.
• Serve as a recognized internal expert and represent us externally with customers, industry groups, professional associations, and other stakeholders.
• Develop organizational capability through expert consultation, advanced facilitation, mentoring, and knowledge transfer.

Qualifications:

• 15+ years experience
• Bachelor's degree
• Experience advising senior leaders and leading complex initiatives with impact across multiple departments or sites.
• Experience resolving critical operational issues, shaping long-term strategy, and developing new methods or standards in situations with limited precedent.
• Recognized expert in Operational Excellence, Lean, Six Sigma, structured problem solving, process design, and operational performance improvement.
• Capability and experience using operational data, ERP systems, reporting tools, and data visualization to guide strategic decisions.
