Job summary

Cretex Companies, Inc. is seeking Operational Excellence Engineer Interns for the summer of 2027 with Cretex Medical in Dassel, MN.

Interns will support Manufacturing, Quality, or Operational Excellence projects and assist with scope definition through implementation. Responsibilities include providing internal customer technical support, assisting with process improvements, and collaborating with multiple departments to meet customer and business needs.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a four-year degree program for Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
• Demonstrated software application skills in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to use measuring devices.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and team-building skills.
• Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office and ERP and other business-related systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide internal customer technical support.
• Provide technical support for manufacturing processes.
• Assist with the implementation of process and design improvements.
• Partner with sales/marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and finance as needed.
• Understand customer needs and core business markets served.
• Participate in required company and department meetings.
• Maintain an organized work area (5S).
• Support and comply with the company's Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements.
