Job Description:


The Opportunity:

CACI seeks an Operational Energy (OE) engineer to support research & development for the US Navy’s Military Sealift Command (MSC) vessels. You will leverage your marine, electrical, and shipboard engineering background to guide work packages and alterations through to execution.


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with MSC engineers and stakeholders on shipboard energy conservation measures.
  • Monitor OE work package development to identify technical concerns and ensure timely completion for shipyard contracts.
  • Conduct ship visits to support work package development.
  • Coordinate work package execution with program managers, logistics, and port engineers.
  • Organize ship visits with vendors to validate project scope prior to execution.
  • Manage procurement processes, including RFP submissions and vendor communications.


Qualifications:

Required:

  • Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain one
  • Experience with MSC ships
  • 5+ years in marine, electrical, or shipboard engineering
  • Knowledge of US Navy ship alteration work package processes
  • Strong communication and attention to detail

Desired:

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering or related field
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
