Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Tulsa, Oklahoma is seeking a Drafting Specialist to provide modeling and fabrication drawings for specialized products. The ideal candidate should have an Associate's degree in Drafting or Engineering and experience in SolidWorks. This role offers great benefits including health insurance and a 401k plan. Qualifications

• Proficient with SolidWorks modeling and drawing creation.
• Prefer 2 years of direct drafting and support experience.
• Working knowledge of Syspro ERP software desired.
• CSWP or CSWE preferred.
• Working knowledge of Syspro ERP software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently to produce high-caliber deliverables on tight timelines.
• Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Complete 3D SolidWorks model modifications for products.
• Create production and assembly drawings for fabrication.
• Dimensional verification and quality control of drawings.
• Perform dimensional verification and quality checks on drawings.
• Contribute to cost reductions in design and fabrication with production.
• Understand fabrication design techniques and cost impact of drawings/materials.
• Maintain clear communication with internal and external customers.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma

Reports to: Supervisor Operational Engineering

Collaborates with: Engineering, Sales, Production

Primary Responsibility: Provide modeling, sales, and fabrication drawings for MIRATECH product lines.

What You'll Do:

• Complete 3D SolidWorks model modifications for made-to-order MIRATECH products.
• Create Submittal and Dimensional drawings for sales support.
• Create production and assembly drawings for fabrication.
• Dimensional verification and quality control of finished drawings.
• Continuous focus on cost reductions in design and fabrication by working with the production group.
• Understand fabrication design techniques and the cost impact of design assembly drawings and materials.
• Communicate thoroughly and regularly to establish a warm working relationship with internal and external customers.
• Other duties as assigned.

How to Qualify:

• Associate's degree in Drafting or Engineering from an accredited technical school, college or university.
• Proficient with SolidWorks modeling and drawing creation; sheet metal experience a plus.
• Prefer 2 (+) years of direct industrial, engineering, or production drafting and support experience.
• SOLIDWORKS CSWP or CSWE preferred.
• Working knowledge of Syspro ERP software desired.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently to produce high-caliber deliverables in a short time frame.
• Proficient with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
