Job summary

NSA is seeking IT professionals to support core mission objectives by actively managing enterprise systems and networks. Analyze problems, develop corrective actions, and provide full lifecycle support for hardware, software, and firmware.

You will translate user needs into technical solutions and help improve IT infrastructures, from database management to application support, as part of a team protecting national security.

Qualifications

  • Degree must be in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Networking, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Technical/vocational or military training certificate in a computer-related field is an acceptable substitute for the Associate Degree.
  • Relevant experience must be in database development/administration/maintenance; network/telecom equipment installation/maintenance; fiber optic or copper network maintenance; using specialized test equipment or network analysis tools; IT Support (e.g., systems administration, application administration, IT help desk).
  • Relevant certifications can substitute for a maximum of 1 year of experience.
  • Entry requires HS diploma or GED with no experience; Developmental/Full Performance require increasing experience; Senior requires more years or advanced degree.

Pay: Salary offers are based on candidates' education level and years of experience relevant to the position and also take into account information provided by the hiring manager/organization regarding the work level for the position.Salary Range: $35,048 - $158,322 (Entry/Developmental, Full Performance, Senior)Salary range varies by location, work level, and relevant experience to the position.Training will be provided based on the selectee's needs and experience.Benefits: NSA offers a comprehensive benefits package.Work Schedule: This is a full-time position, Monday - Friday, with basic 8hr/day work requirement between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. (flexible).DCIPS Trial Period:If selected for this position, you will be required to serve a two-year DCIPS trial period, unless you are a veterans' preference-eligible employee, in which case you are required to serve a one-year trial period.
