Job summary

stow Group, a global leader in the supply chain industry, opened its first U.S. manufacturing facility in Adairsville, GA. The Operational Buyer will ensure timely ordering of production and delivery items, manage supplier relationships, and monitor stock levels to support peak warehouse performance.

Candidate experience in supply chain, purchasing, or materials management, plus SAP and Excel proficiency, is required to maintain smooth operations and drive continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• Ability to analyze numerical data to identify trends, generate actionable insights and support evidence-based decision making.
• Ability to act in a fast-moving environment.
• Proven experience contributing to process improvement.
• Software expertise with SAP or similar business intelligence tools.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel.

Responsibilities

• Confirm and manage stock levels of raw materials and material requirements for production, and call off materials in time.
• Order purchased goods in-line with category strategies while selecting vendors within outlined available pricing.
• Manage outstanding purchase orders to update delivery dates as demand requires.
• Convert purchase requisitions into purchase orders and follow up delivery of orders according to requested delivery date.
• Manage daily relationship between the factory and its suppliers.
• Provide input on supplier performance to central category managers for regular supplier evaluation.
• Solve potential invoice blocks due to quantity or price discrepancies.

Job Description

As Operational Buyer you will make sure relations with suppliers are good and all needed items for production (steel, painting powder...) and needed items for customer deliveries (footplates, protectors, rowspacers...) are ordered/called off on time. You will follow-up on deliveries with suppliers to confirm items are delivered on time.

• Confirm and manage stock levels of raw materials and material requirements for production, and call off materials in time
• Order purchased goods in-line with category strategies while selecting vendors within outlined available pricing
• Manage outstanding purchase orders to update delivery dates as demand requires
• Convert purchase requisitions into purchase orders and follow up delivery of orders according to requested delivery date
• Manage daily relationship between the factory and its suppliers
• Provide input on supplier performance (delivery, quality, …) to central category managers for regular supplier evaluation
• Solve potential invoice blocks due to quantity or price discrepancies

• 3-5 years of experience in Supply Chain, Materials Management and/or Purchasing
• Ability to analyze numerical data to identify trends, generate actionable insights and support evidence-based decision making
• Ability to act in a fast-moving environment
• Proven experience contributing to process improvement
• Software expertise with SAP or similar business intelligence tools
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel
