Kraus Hamdani Aerospace (KHA) is an aerospace company specializing in long-endurance unmanned aerial platforms for a wide variety of industries. KHA supports a number of customers to carry out missions involving aerial reconnaissance, survey, communication relay and communications provisioning. Endurance, enabled by effective design, is key to these applications and KHA aircraft utilize cutting-edge aircraft design together with on-board intelligence to deliver value for these customers.

Overview:

Kraus Hamdani Aerospace is looking for an experienced Program Manager with a strong background in military and aerospace operations to join our dynamic team. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, this role will focus on managing programs within our K1000ULE Group-2 Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) sector. The ideal candidate will possess extensive military operational experience, excellent project management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across various teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborative Program Leadership:Partner with the Director of Operations to plan, execute, and oversee UAS programs, ensuring alignment with Kraus Hamdani Aerospace's strategic objectives.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration:Work with engineering, manufacturing, and operational teams to integrate customer requirements into UAS solutions, ensuring they meet customer expectations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:Act as the primary liaison for customers, building strong relationships with key decision-makers and incorporating their feedback into project development and execution.
  • Operational Integration:Apply military and aerospace operational experience to guide program development, ensuring UAS solutions are effective, compliant with customer protocols, and meet operational needs.
  • Risk Management:Identify potential program risks and collaborate with teams to develop and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Financial Oversight:Manage program budgets in collaboration with the Director of Operations and Business Development, ensuring financial performance aligns with organizational goals, and develop accurate cost estimates while monitoring expenditures.
  • Performance Metrics:Establish and monitor key performance indicators, providing regular updates to the Director of Operations and relevant stakeholders on program progress and challenges.
  • Compliance & Quality Assurance:Ensure all program activities comply with relevant military standards, regulations, and best practices in aviation and aerospace.
  • Mentorship and Team Development:Foster a collaborative environment by mentoring program staff and facilitating knowledge sharing across teams, leveraging insights gained from military experience.

Qualifications:

  • Education:Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Aviation Management, or a related field, or 8-10 years of experience in aerospace project management, particularly within military aviation or UAS operations.
  • Operational Military Experience:Strong background in roles such as pilot, systems operator, aircrew, or program manager.
  • Certifications:Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification is preferred.
  • Technical Skills:Comprehensive understanding of aviation systems, UAS technologies, military operations, and defense contracting processes.
  • Leadership Skills:Proven ability to lead and collaborate with diverse teams, managing complex projects effectively.
  • Communication:Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating complex military operations and technical concepts to a wide range of audiences.
