Identify out of balance conditions and unusual or aged items in assigned accounts. Research of complex issues. Lead projects.## **Primary Responsibilities:*** Timely and accurate reconciliation / reporting of assigned portfolio activity to Finance / Audit / SOX to ensure accurate Financial Statements in accordance with GAAP.* Gather and research data to prepare routine accounting reports including daily, weekly and/or monthly departmental reporting assignments.* Perform problem resolution around more complex issues and assist in formulating solutions.* Perform research to resolve aged items and system outages on reconciliations escalate as necessary.* Communicate with internal cross-functional areas, business partners and investors to assist in resolution of routine inquiries/issues.* Provide input regarding updates to procedures due to changes in process or accounting requirements.* Participate in responsibilities associated with new business initiatives under Manager's direction.* Mentors and trains less experienced staff on routine task and questions* Adhere to established policies, procedures and limits focusing on observable breaches in Corporate Risk policies.* Adhere to applicable compliance/operational risk controls in accordance with Company or regulatory standards and policies.* Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.* Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.* Complete other related duties as assigned.## **Education and Experience Required:**Bachelor's Degree in financial field,OR in lieu of a higher education degree,4 years of relevant work experienceM&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees.
