Job summary

EVP Eyecare in Denver is seeking a Surgical Technician to assist during operative and invasive procedures in the surgical center. You will prepare rooms, instrument tables, and anticipate surgeon needs to support patient safety and efficiency.

Requirements include a high school diploma, current BCLS certification, strong communication, EMR proficiency, and English fluency. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School diploma or equivalent.
• Current BCLS Certification and must maintain BLS certification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in EMR and computer literacy.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Additional languages preferred.
• Create and provide a positive, accountable, and inspired work environment.
• Well organized and attentive to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepares room in a timely manner with all anticipated instruments, sutures, supplies and equipment for each procedure.
• Assists in positioning, prepping and draping of patients for surgical procedures.
• Sets up, scrubs and prepares procedures 30 minutes prior to scheduled time.
• Performs services requiring technical or manual skills under the direction of Circulation RN.
• Maintains sterile instrument table and follows department setup.
• Communicates effectively with team and ensures patient comfort and safety.
