Job summary

Saint Peter’s Health Care System in New Jersey is seeking an Operating Room Technician Nights to scrub and support general surgeries in the Labor-Delivery suite. You will set up sterile fields, assist with instrument care, and communicate patient status to the RN.

The role requires graduation from a surgical tech program or equivalent, ability to work on call, and BLS. Saint Peter’s offers a comprehensive benefits package and tuition assistance to eligible staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Surgical Technical Program, an accredited Practical School of Nursing, equivalent training or successful completion of an orientation program.
• Ability to work on call under direction of the RN.
• BLS administration required.

Labor-Delivery

The Operating Room Technician Nights will:

• Function as a Scrub Assistant during general surgeries.
• Set up Operating Rooms with sterile instruments and surgical supplies.
• Assist with the care, preparation, and maintenance of sterile and unsterile equipment, instruments and supplies.
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice to ensure implementation of the Plan of Care and communicating information pertinent to the patient's status to Registered Nurse.

Requirements

• Graduate of a Surgical Technical Program, an accredited Practical School of Nursing, equivalent training or successful completion of an orientation program.
• Ability to work on call under direction of the RN.
• BLS administration required.

Salary Range:27.62 - 44.20 USD

We offer competitive base rates that are determined by many factors, including job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data. In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials.

The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
