Job summary

Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is seeking an OR Tech to assist perioperative nurses and anesthesia care providers in the Operating Room. The role involves preparing and turnover of rooms, restocking supplies, moving equipment, and assisting with anesthesia turnover between cases.

A strong emphasis on safety and efficiency supports patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment. Responsibilities include setting up procedure rooms, scrubbing in as needed, assisting with patient transfers,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prefer prior healthcare experience.
• Prefer certification in related healthcare.
• Prefer demonstrated ability to follow written/verbal instructions with minimal supervision.
• BLS/CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and turnover of procedure rooms between cases.
• Remove trash and soiled items, wipe down equipment, and prepare room for next procedure.
• Move and set up equipment; stock and set up gas machines and anesthesia area.
• Assist in transferring and positioning patients; scrub in when required.
• Transport specimens to lab and assist in moving patients as needed.
• Train with Hana Table and assist surgeon as needed.
