NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in New York, NY seeks an Operating Room Technician I for the Pediatric OR, Day shift. You will function as scrub person, circulation assistant, and a key member of the surgical team, assisting in care, preparation, and maintenance of supplies and equipment.

This full-time role requires NBSTSA certification (or dates provided for new graduates), completion of an approved OR tech program, and a high school diploma. On-site presence is required at NYP/Weill Cornell.

Operating Room Technician I - Pediatric Operating Room - Days

You will function as a scrub person, circulation assistant, and member of the surgical team. You will assist in the care, preparation, and maintenance of supplies and equipment in the Operating Room. This is a full time position working 10:00am-6:30pm at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. Occasional weekends, nights, and holidays are required.

Preferred Criteria

• Prior experience as an OR/Surgical Tech in an acute care setting

Required Criteria

• Certified Surgical Technologist by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting Certification (NBSTSA) or if a new graduate, must supply exam date prior to start of employment.
• Certification must be obtained within six months of hire and complete a probationary period of six (6) months from date of hire
• Completion of a certified Surgical Technologist, Operating Room Technician or comparable training program or experience as on O.R. Technician/Surgical Technologist in an acute care setting
• High school diploma or GED
