Job summary

Mercy Fort Smith is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the operating room team in the delivery of safe surgical care. You will be responsible for passing instruments, maintaining sterile technique, and assisting the surgical team during procedures.

In addition to instrument accountability, you will coordinate patient care with other team members, uphold patient rights and confidentiality, and align with Mercy Service Standards and mission values in daily practice.

Qualifications

• Education: High-School Diploma or GED required; proof may be requested.
• Licensure: Non-certified applicants may be considered with experience.
• Experience: Surgical technology experience may substitute for licensure.
• Certifications: BLS from American Heart Association required.
• Other: Must be able to understand English and perform duties safely.

Responsibilities

• Maintains accountability for providing surgical instruments to the team.
• Coordinates care of the surgical patient with other team members.
