Job summary

Westerly Hospital is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to support the operating room team in providing safe, efficient patient care. You will assist with instrument passing, maintain a sterile field, and participate in ongoing training and performance improvement initiatives.

Required are a hospital-based Surgical Tech program or OR experience and current BLS certification; AST certification within one year of hire is preferred. Join our OR team to support exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

• High level of manual dexterity and visual concentration to pass instruments and observe sterile techniques.
• Completion of an accredited surgical tech program or previous OR experience.
• BLS current certification required; AST Certification within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain competency in OR specialty through in-service training.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and teamwork.
• Assist surgical team by providing instruments and maintaining sterile field.
• Print case cards and utilize McKesson/Paragon systems as required.
