Job summary

Incredible Health in Temple, TX is hiring an Operating Room / Surgical Nurse (RN) to provide direct patient care before, during, and after surgery, in accordance with AORN standards, while maintaining an aseptic and safe OR environment. Ideal candidates hold ADN or higher in nursing, an active RN license, 1+ year OR experience (preferred), and ACLS/PALS certification (preferred).

Excellent critical thinking, communication, and collaborative skills with staff, physicians, patients and families

Qualifications

• ADN or higher nursing degree
• Active and unencumbered RN license
• 1+ years of OR or surgical experience preferred
• ACLS, PALS certification preferred
• Experience with aseptic and sterile techniques

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to surgical patients before, during, and after surgery in accordance with AORN standards
• Maintain an aseptic and safe environment in the Operating Room
• Assist in the intra-operative care of the patient by performing nursing and technical duties as assigned
• Monitor patients' vital signs and other physiological parameters during surgery
• Communicate with patients and their families about the surgical procedure and postoperative care
