Job summary

Incredible Health is actively hiring for an Operating Room / Surgical Nurse (RN) in the Washington, DC area. This role welcomes RNs with OR, circulator, or related surgical experience and offers day, night, and mid shifts, with full-time, part-time, and per diem options.

Qualified candidates will have an ADN or higher, an active RN license, and prefer ACLS/PALS. The position emphasizes aseptic technique, critical thinking, and teamwork with surgeons, staff, and families.

Qualifications

• ADN or higher nursing degree.
• Active and unencumbered RN license.
• 1+ years of OR or surgical setting experience preferred.
• ACLS and PALS certification preferred.
• Experience with aseptic and sterile techniques.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration with staff, physicians, patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to surgical patients before, during, and after surgery in accordance with AORN standards.
• Maintain an aseptic and safe environment in the Operating Room.
• Assist in the intra-operative care of the patient by performing nursing and technical duties as assigned.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and other physiological parameters during surgery.
• Communicate with patients and their families about the surgical procedure and postoperative care.
