Job summary

Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills, CA is seeking an Operating Room Assistant to join our team. This full-time role features 8-hour day shifts and supports the preparation of the operating room for surgery, transport of patients and supplies, and active team participation.

Qualified candidates will have certification to meet licensing requirements, BLS from American Heart Association, and a California Fire and Life Safety Card within 30 days of hire, plus related experience.

Qualifications

• Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• California Fire and Life Safety Card - within 30 days of hire.
• Sufficient related experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepares operating room for surgery as directed, using appropriate techniques.
• Provides technical services and assists in procedures as directed.
• Transports patients and supplies.
• Participates in the daily activities of the department as an active team member.
• Demonstrates proficiency in delivering care to assigned age-specific patient population and participates in related continuing education.
