Job summary

Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills, CA is hiring an Operating Room Assistant – Surgery (Per Diem) for 8‑hour variable shifts. Responsibilities include OR preparation, assisting in procedures, patient transport, and active team participation.

Qualifications

• Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.
• National Provider BLS – American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
• California Fire and Life Safety Card to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Sufficient related experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room for surgery as directed, using appropriate techniques.
• Provides technical services and assists in procedures as directed.
• Transports patients and supplies.
• Participates in the daily activities of the department as an active team member.
• Demonstrates proficiency in delivering care to the assigned age-specific patient population and participates in related continuing education.
