Job summary

PIH Health is seeking a Surgical Aide to support nurses and physicians in the Operating Room, PACU, Same Day Surgery, and GI Services. This role helps improve safety and efficiency while maintaining cleanliness of spaces, supplies, and equipment in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The ideal candidate will be a team player with knowledge of infection control, medical terminology, and strong communication and organizational abilities; a current BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• Must maintain current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Evidence of basic patient care principles and hospital safety standards.
• Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Assist nurses and physicians in the Operating Room, PACU, Same Day Surgery, and GI Services.
• Contribute to the safety and efficiency of the department.
• Maintain cleanliness of areas, supplies, and equipment.
