Job summary

Trinity Health's Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, Idaho is hiring an Operating Room (OR) Assistant for the Day Shift. The role focuses on housekeeping within surgical services, prepares case carts, transports supplies and equipment, and ensures rooms are ready for procedures.

Orientation covers Ortho, Neuro, and General services and training with OR Educators is provided in the first weeks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in housekeeping, central supply or surgery transportation preferred.
• Knowledge of surgical instrumentation and supplies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare case carts with surgery supplies, suture and equipment according to surgeon's preference.
• Clean and turnover operating rooms and equipment.
• Transport dirty case carts to decontamination and to Sterile Processing.
• Transport supplies, specimens, x-rays, blood products, and beds.
• Provide articles for transport including oxygen tanks, monitors, patient charts, documents and supplies.
