Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, Idaho is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to join the Surgical Services Department. The technician provides anesthesia support throughout the medical center under the supervision of the anesthesiologist and manager, handling equipment maintenance, packing, and inventory for complex anesthesia supplies.

The role involves significant patient contact, assisting in transport and procedures, and collaborating with anesthesia, nursing, and off-site

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience in a Hospital Anesthesia Department preferred.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support for HealthCare Provider (BLS/HCP) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Develops knowledge of equipment including anesthesia machines, electronic monitors, and diagnostic equipment.
• Cleans and checks instruments and equipment related to anesthesia and ensures readiness for procedures.
• Provides direct, high-quality service to surgeons, anesthesiologists, and anesthetists; responds to direction promptly.
