HCA HealthONE Sky Ridge is seeking a Surgical Services Aide to support operating rooms and patient flow in a fast-paced surgical environment. The role involves preparing ORs, transporting patients, and maintaining a clean, safe, well-stocked surgical suite to ensure patient safety and high-quality care.

You will obtain equipment, stock supplies, verify patient identities, and assist with turnover between cases.

Responsabilidades

• Obtains various equipment for upcoming surgeries including carts, video equipment, and positioning devices.
• Maintains and stocks fluids, linens, PPE, and other supplies in the operating suite.
• Verifies identification of each patient being transferred.
• Transports and transfers patients using good body mechanics and safety measures.
• Transports various specimens safely to appropriate departments.
• Assists with cleaning and turnover of the OR rooms between cases and at the end of the day.
• Returns equipment to appropriate storage locations in a timely manner after cleaning and appropriate disinfection.
• Disposes of all trash, regulated medical waste, and soiled linens.
• Stocks and organizes all instrumentation and supplies.
• Identifies malfunctioning equipment and initiates repairs via repair tag.
• Maintains a safe and clean environment in the hallways, OR rooms, offices, lounges, supply areas, holding area, scrub sinks, refrigerators and bathrooms.
• Follows patient and employee safety/security policies and protocols, including hand hygiene, use of universal precautions, use of personal protective equipment, and adherence to isolation procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Practices and adheres to the “Code of Conduct” and “Mission and Value Statement.”
