Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a Cross Functional Associate to support the operating rooms and sterile processing department. You will help with instrument processing, room turnover, supply management, and maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

Key duties include assisting with patient positioning and safe transport to and from the OR, stocking supplies, transporting specimens to the lab, and obtaining blood products per procedures. You will work under supervision and in a team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Experience with internet email software; familiarity with McKesson PHS.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Support OR and SPD, assist with room turnover and cleaning.
• Complete SPD tasks under supervision.
• Anticipate equipment needs and transport between OR and SPD.
• Restock supplies and set up rooms for cases.
• Assist with patient positioning, identification, and transport.
• Follow safety protocols and wear PPE.
• Transport specimens to the lab and follow ID protocols.
• Obtain and return blood products per procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
